Chicago

We arrived in Chicago on Saturday, we haven't done much since jet lag is kicking in. We went for a walk around the city last night, saw a few things. My favourite was The Bean.

It was so cold! More walking today, and hopefully a few touristy things! :)

Kansas Trip

So my blog already consists of previous and current work, but I will now be using it to update everyone on my studies and experiences whilst I travel.

I will be living in Manhattan, Kansas for 5 months- from January until May. I am going to be studying metal smithing at KSU (Kansas State University) for the second half of my second year, which is just one semester. I am also visiting Chicago and New York and will be posting about the things I get up to there too! So it's not all work work work! :)

This is some experimentation work that I've been playing with to help me along to the final piece of my Interpretive Project. 

I will be focusing on texture, colour and how to make the effect of scales from bird claws.
